AUGUST: Thomas and Betts Corp.'s Hydraulic Crimper

Thomas & Betts has expanded its line of Color-Keyed connector tools to include the Pumpac II battery-powered hydraulic pump. Designed to meet a range of crimping needs on the job site, the portable pump delivers more than 100 crimps with a 4/0 cable and up to 70 crimps with a 750 MCM cable, all without recharging. Dual 14.4V batteries are rechargeable in one hour.

Featuring a 10,000 PSI pressure rating, the Pumpac II can power all hydraulic heads in T&B's tooling line. A pushbutton remote control allows the operator to advance, hold or retract the tool as needed. Additionally, the high-pressure pump connects to a 360-deg. swivel port for maximum flexibility in confined spaces.

The pump also features long-lasting crimp cycle performance between recharges and durable construction for years of use. The pump weighs 35 lbs with two batteries and measures 7.5 in. by 9.8 in. by 6.9 in. It comes with a steel carrying case. Thomas & Betts Corp.
